You've signed up for SoList. Now what?
We built SoList to be intuitive, but we also know that a quick guide can help you hit the ground running. This isn't a comprehensive manual—it's the essentials to get you creating, organizing, and sharing in under a minute.
Quick Start
Create your first list in 60 seconds: New List → Add title → Add items → Share with friends.
Step 1: Create Your First List
From your dashboard, you'll see a prominent "New List" button. Click it, and you're off.
Keep it descriptive. "Groceries" works, but "Weekend BBQ Shopping" is better. You'll thank yourself later when you have 20 lists.
Step 2: Add Items
With your list created, start adding items. Type in the text field and hit enter. That's it.
✓ Pro tip
Don't overthink the first draft. Dump everything out of your head, then organize. Lists are living documents.
Step 3: Share With Friends
Here's where SoList becomes social. Open any list and look for the share option.
Permission Levels
Shared lists sync in real-time. When your roommate checks "milk" off the grocery list, you'll see it instantly. No more buying three gallons because nobody communicated.
Step 4: Explore the Feed
SoList isn't just about your lists—it's about discovering what others are doing.
Feed
Activity from people you follow: new lists, events, challenges.
Discover
Popular public lists, upcoming events, interesting users.
Step 5: Create an Event
Lists are great. Events are next level.

Quick Tips for Power Users
Use the "Today" List
Every day, you get a fresh "Today" list. Add daily priorities, check them off. At midnight, it clears for a new day.
Enable Notifications
Get notified when someone shares a list, invites you to an event, or completes a task on a shared list.
Try a Challenge
Want to build a habit with friends? Create a challenge. Set a goal, invite participants, track progress together.
That's It. Seriously.
You now know everything you need to start using SoList effectively. The rest you'll figure out as you go—that's the point of intuitive design.
